Frequently asked questions

Answers before you request service.

Practical answers about property fit, deposits, service limits, wildlife activity, monitoring, limited residential review, and what to send before Iron Raven reviews a job.

What does Iron Raven book right now?

Iron Raven currently reviews wild hog management, armadillo damage/control work, trail-camera monitoring, local HOA or CDD work when practical, and limited outdoor residential nuisance-wildlife requests. Coyote work is publicly listed as a core service, but active-control booking is confirmed only when the property, chosen method, legal requirements, and safety conditions are a fit.

Do you guarantee animal results?

No. Wildlife activity is unpredictable, and successful field results are never guaranteed. The quote covers time, preparation, travel, scouting, monitoring, documentation, and field effort.

What animals do you manage?

Iron Raven primarily focuses on wild hogs, coyotes, and armadillos. Other nuisance wildlife may be reviewed case by case when the animal, property, access, safety, and service type are a fit.

Do you handle raccoons, opossums, skunks, nutria, beaver, rabbits, rats, mice, or snakes?

Sometimes. Raccoons, opossums, skunks, beaver, nutria, rabbits, outdoor rodents, and snake concerns may be reviewed case by case. Indoor rodents and normal structure pest-control work should go to a pest-control company.

Do you offer residential wildlife service?

Iron Raven is not currently a broad residential wildlife company. Limited outdoor nuisance-wildlife requests near Odessa and nearby areas may be reviewed case by case. Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance or scheduling.

What size properties do you work on?

Firearm-based field work uses a 5-acre company minimum, with 10+ acres preferred. Trail-camera monitoring has no fixed acreage minimum. Local residential review or trapping has no fixed acreage minimum, but property fit, access, species, and method still matter.

How does the deposit work?

A $100 minimum deposit is required after an accepted job is ready to schedule. Deposits are typically 50% of the base service price before animal/result fees when applicable, apply toward the final bill, and are non-refundable unless Iron Raven states otherwise in writing.

How does final billing work?

The customer pays the deposit before service. After service is completed, the remaining service balance is settled along with any authorized animal/result fees, extra time, travel charge, or approved add-ons that were not included in the original scope.

What is included with a one-time visit?

A standard one-time field visit starts at the current introductory rate, includes local travel when applicable, setup, scouting, up to 4 hours on property, and one successful animal total if service is successful and the animal is within the approved scope.

Can hogs and coyotes be handled on the same visit?

Sometimes. If the property, service type, legal requirements, and safe operating conditions allow it, hogs and coyotes can be targeted during the same accepted visit. One successful animal is included total on a one-time visit, not one per species.

Can I set a maximum number of animals?

Yes. Customers can set the maximum number of animals Iron Raven may take before service begins. That maximum helps keep the authorized final range clear before the job starts.

How does coyote service work?

Coyote service may include scouting, activity pattern review, trail camera review, landowner reports, and lawful nuisance wildlife management methods when allowed. Iron Raven focuses first on livestock, poultry, and recurring property pressure, with pet concerns reviewed in context.

How do extra hours work?

Most standard visits include up to 4 hours on property. Extra time arranged before the visit is $40/hour. Extra time added during the visit is $50/hour. Customer-purchased extensions are normally limited to 2 extra hours unless Iron Raven approves more.

Do you charge for travel?

Local travel is included for many standard jobs. Extended-distance properties may have a travel charge confirmed before booking, especially for farther properties, unusual access, monitoring routes, residential requests outside the local area, or larger custom work.

What is the $150 property review?

The $150 review is a limited, selective introductory offer for qualifying properties where Iron Raven may record and use appropriate non-identifying service content. It includes up to 4 hours on property if accepted. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, scheduling, or the discounted rate.

What is the $170 introductory sale?

The $170 offer is a broader introductory sale version of the one-time visit while Iron Raven is getting established. It is still subject to property fit, access, safety, distance, species, availability, and written approval before scheduling.

What happens after I submit a request?

Submit the request, then Iron Raven reviews the property and species, follows up for a short phone or text consultation when needed, provides a quote and authorization if the job is a fit, collects the deposit, schedules the visit, and then performs the field visit.

What should I prepare before service?

Prepare gate and access instructions, permission to lock gates if needed, pets and livestock notes, hidden hazards, ponds, ditches, wires, fences, equipment, areas Iron Raven may or may not enter, neighboring structures or roads, parking instructions, owner contact information, photos or trail camera images if available, and a designated large-animal carcass location where applicable.

Are photos or videos required?

No. Photos and videos are strongly encouraged because they help with review, but they are not required. You can also send a description, form details, or trail camera notes.

Do you provide trail cameras?

Yes. Iron Raven offers short-term and recurring managed wildlife-monitoring options using company-supplied trail cameras. The standard starting setup uses two cameras, with additional coverage quoted when needed.

Are cameras watched continuously?

No. Wildlife-camera activity is reviewed periodically as part of the monitoring service. It is not a security service, continuous live surveillance service, or emergency-alert system.

Do you offer emergency service?

Not at this time. Same-night service may be considered only when the customer contacts Iron Raven early enough in advance, Iron Raven is available, and the property can be reviewed safely.

Do you relocate animals?

No. Iron Raven does not relocate nuisance wildlife.

How is standard large-animal carcass handling handled?

Standard large-animal carcass handling remains on the serviced property at an owner-approved location unless another arrangement is made in advance and quoted separately.

What areas do you serve?

Odessa, Lutz, Land O' Lakes, Wesley Chapel, North Tampa, Dade City, Plant City, and Brooksville are priority areas when the property and service type are a fit. Hillsborough and Pasco are the main counties, with surrounding Florida counties reviewed by quote for larger or worthwhile jobs.

Do you work at night?

Yes. Many nuisance wildlife species are most active during evening and nighttime hours.

Do I need to be home?

Not necessarily, as long as access, property boundaries, permission, and safety instructions are arranged beforehand. Some residential or close-access requests may need more coordination.

What if no animals are seen?

Wildlife activity is unpredictable. Visits still include assessment, scouting, monitoring, documentation, and management effort even if animals are not encountered.

Do you work with horse properties?

Yes, when the property has enough usable layout, access, and safe working area. Horse properties often attract wildlife because of feed, water, open land, and pasture edges, but each request is reviewed case by case.

Can a horse property tell clients it uses wildlife monitoring?

Yes, when monitoring or a monthly plan is active. A stable can say the property uses outside wildlife activity monitoring or scheduled wildlife-management review, but should not describe it as a safety guarantee or complete protection.

Do you work with farms and ranches?

Yes. Iron Raven is built for farms, ranches, stables, groves, hunting leases, vacant land, and large rural properties.

Can you inspect my property before booking?

Initial review is usually completed remotely with maps, photos, and customer details. A property walk or on-site review may happen as part of the scheduled visit when access, safety, or layout needs to be confirmed.

Can I request monthly property management?

Yes. Monthly property protection plans are available for farms, ranches, stables, vacant land, and larger properties with recurring wildlife activity. Monthly wildlife monitoring is a separate camera-based service.

Can you work around livestock?

Yes, when the property layout and safety conditions allow it. Livestock locations, worker schedules, roads, barns, ponds, gates, and safety concerns are discussed before any visit.

Will neighbors be notified?

Property owners are encouraged to notify nearby neighbors when appropriate. Iron Raven may decline service if nearby homes, roads, workers, or public areas create unsafe conditions.

Why do hogs keep returning?

Wild hogs return when food, water, cover, and travel corridors remain available. Long-term management is often more effective than a single visit.

What signs indicate hog activity?

Fresh rooting, repeated pasture or lawn damage, wallows, tracks, trails, fence crossings, feed disturbance, livestock-feed pressure, and recurring nighttime camera activity are common signs.

What signs indicate coyote activity?

Livestock pressure, chicken or poultry concern, repeated sightings, tracks, scat, nighttime vocalizations, camera activity, and pet concerns in the right setting may indicate recurring coyote activity.

What makes Iron Raven different?

Iron Raven focuses on wildlife management for larger rural and commercial properties first, while also offering managed camera monitoring and limited local residential request review when the situation is a fit.

Why choose Iron Raven over general pest control?

Iron Raven specializes in larger rural, acreage, and commercial wildlife situations where structure-focused pest-control services may not be practical. Limited residential requests are reviewed only when they match Iron Raven's service scope.

Who is Iron Raven?

Iron Raven is a small Florida wildlife-management company based near Odessa. The service focuses on acreage, farms, ranches, horse facilities, commercial properties, vacant land, and managed trail-camera monitoring, with select local residential requests reviewed separately.

Does Iron Raven handle alligators?

No. Iron Raven Wildlife Services LLC does not handle alligators. For nuisance alligator concerns in Florida, contact FWC's Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program at 866-FWC-GATOR / 866-392-4286.

Does Iron Raven handle foxes, bats, deer, protected birds, gopher tortoises, bears, panthers, or protected species?

No. Iron Raven does not advertise those as standard services. Protected, listed, structure-based, or specialty wildlife issues should be handled through the appropriate agency or properly qualified specialist.

Can Iron Raven help with greenbelt or agricultural documentation?

Iron Raven can provide property activity notes, photos, monitoring summaries, and nuisance wildlife observations when documentation support is part of the scope. This may help a landowner keep a clearer record that the property is being monitored and maintained, but Iron Raven does not guarantee agricultural classification, greenbelt approval, tax outcomes, or property appraiser decisions.

Can Iron Raven work outside the main service area?

Possibly. Larger commercial, day-rate, multi-site, monitoring, or special acreage jobs may be considered by custom quote depending on distance, safety, property access, and service type.
